New blog!

So I'm giving blogspot a whirl, since no one ever read my Xanga blog.  We'll see how this goes. :-)  I welcome comments and thoughts.  Even if it's just a "like", that lets me know that people are interested in what's going on in my life.  Since moving to California, it's been difficult to keep up with the important people in Texas, so this is my next attempt to stay connected.
