Hard work and progress

I’ve gotten some positive feedback today relating to how things are going at work. I had a meeting today with one of the ladies from HR, who just wanted to make sure I know she’s an available resource, someone to bounce ideas off of and for confidential conversations. She said this is the most relaxed she’s seen me since I started here. I hadn’t realized I was uptight, but I do agree that I’ve been stressed the last 2 months during the changeover period with the new management. I think having a positive conversation with my boss last week, and making significant progress on my projects has something to do with it.

My boss also mentioned that my update email to the team and my voice on a phone conversation seemed upbeat and positive. Hey, I’m 2 days ahead of schedule on one project, 3 days ahead on another, and 2-3 days ahead on a third. Positive? Yeah, sure, you betcha. ;-) It’s amazing how getting things done makes my attitude better and my days go by quicker. And he said he’s getting positive feedback from the production team about the way I’ve been working.  I have been working hard to make sure I meet my deadlines.

All praise to the Changer of hearts and all-powerful God who has opened doors and smoothed the way (so far) for a few successes that will hopefully go a long way towards helping me be a better worker and witness for Him in this place. Then again, maybe He’s smoothed the way to allow me more time to deal with the mess when all hell breaks loose later on… :-P

Not to me, but to His Name be all glory, honor, and praise. His grace is enough.
