I never thought I'd say this... but I NEED a pair of shoes. According to my remembrance of my current collection (I'm at work and can't check), I don't own a pair of black dressy shoes that I can wear with a nice black dress to a wedding (or cruise formal night, hehe). I have 2 pairs of heeled black close-toed shoes that go nicely with a pair of dress pants, or something like a simple black skirt. But I don't own any black dressy sandals. I bought my first LBD a few weeks ago for upcoming weddings and cruise, but didn't think about the accompanying accessories (the tomboy wins that round).
Looks like a whirlwind run to Kohl's tomorrow to find something suitable before the 3pm wedding (at least half an hour away)... in between a Target run for gift bags/wedding cards, a pedicure, possible yard work, trimming my fingernails, and I feel like I had something else on my list. Of course, I'll double check my closet first... there's always the possibility there's something stashed away that I haven't worn in years (which is likely outdated anyway... so strike that).
Yep, I'm a girl. I'm going shoe shopping for a highly unfunctional pair of shoes that I will wear 2-3 times a year. Go me. I'm sure my husband is laughing at me. But as long as he thinks I look sexy, it's okay. ;-)
Update: I ended up getting a pair of silver shoes, because I couldn't find any black ones that worked (there were very few selections... I probably waited until too late in the season to get black high-heeled sandals). But the silver still looks good with the black dress. :-)
